Perched atop the eastern side of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Camp Cheerio offers a traditional summer camp experience where kids can unplug, grow, and connect. With 135 acres of beautiful terrain to explore, campers spend their days hiking trails, climbing rock walls, or canoeing down nearby rivers. The camp offers over 35 activities including archery, riflery, creative arts, swimming, horseback riding, Zumba, field games, and more—ensuring every camper finds something to love. Campers live in cozy cabins with age-group peers, guided by caring counselors who foster a friendly and supportive environment. Whether playing basketball with friends, building LEGO creations, or taking on a ropes course challenge, each moment is filled with opportunities to gain confidence, try new things, and build lifelong friendships. Cheerio’s philosophy centers on personal growth, Christian spirit, and joy in everyday moments. Evening programs give campers a chance to perform, create, and celebrate together, while optional day trips to local natural wonders offer unforgettable adventures. From the first campfire to the last song, Cheerio is a place to build memories and friendships that will last a lifetime.
