At The Coder School’s Summer Coding Camps, kids are empowered to see how learning to code can open doors, spark creativity, and change the world. Held at multiple Triangle-area locations within a Silicon Valley based franchise organization, the camp is designed to feel more like a tech startup than a classroom, with room to collaborate, experiment, and build projects from scratch. Campers dive into hands-on coding experiences centered on their interests, from video game design and animation to robotics, web development with JavaScript and HTML/CSS, and creative platforms like Minecraft and Roblox. Learning happens in small groups guided by experienced Code Coaches—mentors who are real coders and skilled teachers—allowing campers to receive personalized support and encouragement. Alongside focused computer time, the day includes breaks, movement, and low-pressure activities that help keep minds fresh and energy balanced. The camp’s philosophy is rooted in project-based, interactive STEM learning. Treated as individuals and celebrated for their curiosity, campers learn by creating, problem-solving, and experimenting.
