At Dead Broke Farm, a day at camp feels like stepping into the easygoing rhythm of a real working horse farm—where kids can trade screens and schedules for open space, fresh air, and hands-on experiences. With a welcoming barn, shaded pastures, a simple clubhouse, and a playground, the setting is intentionally unpolished, offering an authentic slice of country life. Each morning, campers saddle up for riding lessons and trail rides, building confidence and forming meaningful connections with their horses. Beyond riding, children take part in the daily care that keeps the farm running—grooming, feeding, and tending to the horses—gaining a deeper appreciation for responsibility and animal care. Afternoons are flexible, with options to help with farm chores, visit the animals, cool off in the pool or clubhouse, or simply play and explore. The camp’s philosophy centers on freedom, trust, and real-world learning. Kids are encouraged to follow their interests, move at their own pace, and take pride in meaningful work. By day’s end, they leave dusty, tired, and happy—already looking forward to seeing “their” horses again.
